At the Islamabad airport, Pakistan Customs intercepted an effort to smuggle many expensive foreign smartphones and drone cameras. According to a report, over 80 to 90 RS million worth of luxury phones and drone cameras were seized during the raids from Dubai into Islamabad, Pakistan.

Details reveal that on Thursday night, two passengers, Nabeel Ahmad and Shahzad, attempted to smuggle five "drone DJI cameras" and imported "I phones as well as Pro Max" through flight ER702 from Dubai to Islamabad. Customs caught them.

However, the plan was foiled, and the commodities were seized by Customs agents stationed at the airport. According to reliable sources, Customs officers have filed a complaint against the travelers and are looking into the matter further.

It's worth noting that the current administration has implemented import duties on phones to boost the domestic industry. Despite this, the smuggling of foreign phones continues to be a significant source of revenue.
