Every bag of sugar must be stamped with a unique identifying mark (UIM) by the Federal Board of Revenue by November 11, 2021, or the sugar mills will be unable to transfer their stock from factories (FBR).

On Thursday, the FBR issued an order to guarantee that it implemented SRO 250/2019's Real-Time tracking System. It has been ordered that no sugar bag be transferred from the grounds of sugar mills without even a tax stamp/UIM affixed.

Under Section 40C(2) and Rule 150ZF of the Sales Tax Laws of 2006, the FBR is obligated to issue a date for implementation of electronic surveillance following the legislation at all notified industrial facilities.
