Over the last several years, the Pakistani entrepreneurial
ecosystem has seen significant development, especially in terms of investment.
In their 12th batch, YUGO.pk, a technological incubator run by the Punjab
Information Technology Board (PITB), has successfully secured initial funding. 

Syed Sheharyar Ali, an Angel Investor and Executive Director
and Chief Operating Officer of Treet Group of Companies, provided the initial
funding. YUGO.pk, which claims to be Pakistan's first online travel
website, was founded in 2017 by Ahmed Hannan Kayani, Ahmad Fazal Bajwa, and
Asim Javaid to allow potential tourists to customize travel packages to all
significant foreign destinations, mainly Europe, the Far East, the Middle East,

Laptops and IT hardware are likely to be exempt from sales tax.

According to credible sources, the government is considering a proposal to abolish the sales tax on laptop computers and other information technology (IT) equipment in the Finance Bill 2022-23. The government is considering, among other propositions, the exemption of customs and taxes on the development of cloud infrastructure and the reduction of the Advance Income Tax (AIT) on telecommunications services to eight percent.

The IT and Telecommunications Department put forward the following ideas to help the IT industry.
