Morris Garages (MG) Pakistan appears to be on the verge of releasing the ZS EV on Pakistani roads, as it has issued official specs and features for the Pakistani market.

The MG ZS EV is the first all-electric SUV in its class in Pakistan, with no competition for the time being. This gives it a significant edge over other EVs that may arrive in the future.

The ZS EV, which has earned excellent reviews for its features, performance, and overall driving experience, is also being tested by MG.

The ZS EV, as predicted, comes with several modern features, including:

  • Dusk sensing headlights
  • Heated front seats
  • Multiple drive modes
  • Electronic stability programming
  • Hill-start Assist
  • Autonomous Braking
  • Pedestrian Alert Control System
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Traffic Jam Assist
  • Blind Spot Monitoring (among other driver-assist features)

Dover White, Diamond Red, Pearl Black, and Copenhagen Blue are the four body colours available for the ZS EV. In addition, a 5-year/150,000-kilometer powertrain and electronics warranty (whichever comes first) and an 8-year/150,000-kilometer battery warranty will be available with the car (whichever comes first).

On the other hand, the public is concerned about Pakistan's lack of EV charging infrastructure, which might stifle the EV ownership experience. Although the EV has a range of 320 kilometres on a single charge, there are just a few EV stations across the country, making recharging the car a nuisance.

Their other issue is the Rs. 6.85 million price tag, which is too costly for most local consumers and indicates that the ZS EV will likely be aimed at a small number of people.

Given all of these considerations, it will be fascinating to observe how MG establishes its worth and attractiveness in the Pakistani market, where most consumers are from the lower and middle socioeconomic levels.
