The SUV parade continues, and according to our source, a new Chinese manufacturer, Guangzhou Automobile Group, is set to join Pakistan. According to reports, the firm is preparing to introduce two new crossover SUVs in Pakistan: GS3 and GS8.
GAC Motor is one of Asia's largest automotive companies, having numerous joint ventures including Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Fiat, Mitsubishi, BYD, and Hino.
Because of these joint ventures, it is now able to manufacture and sell foreign-branded goods in China.
Its vehicle portfolio presently comprises electric cars (EVs), "hybrid electric vehicles" (HEVs), and "Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles" (HFCVs).
GS3
The GS3 is a subcompact crossover SUV designed to compete with the Kia Stonic and the MG ZS. In the worldwide market, it is available with either a 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine or a 1.4-litre normally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine. Both engines drive just the front wheels and are mated to either a "5-speed manual" or a "6-speed automatic gearbox".
GS8 (Image Credit: Tumbral)
The GS8 is a full-size SUV that competes directly with the Toyota Land Cruiser in terms of proportions and stature in the local market.
However, despite being a full-size SUV, the GS8 is only available with a single engine option: a "2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine" producing 250 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The source did not provide the pricing or release dates of these cars. Still, considering how contemporary and well-equipped they are, their price tags are likely to appeal to just a tiny segment of luxury automobile consumers.
Please keep in mind that this is a developing storey. More information will be added when it becomes available. Keep an eye out!
