Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) announced on Monday evening that it had sold 6,775 automobiles in July, its best sales number since 1993, in a social media post.

Analysts and automobile aficionados think that the surge in sales is primarily attributable to recent price reductions in vehicles and a fall in the interest rate on auto loans. It is also thought that the reduction in taxes and tariffs for automakers has enabled them to increase car manufacturing.

Toyota IMC sold 4,535 units last month, resulting in a 3% month-on-month sales reduction due to lower sales of the Yaris Sedan and Hilux Pickup truck. However, the Yaris is still the most popular sedan in the market in terms of demand, and it played a significant role in the resurgence of the Toyota IMC.

Although the official sales figures for all automakers have yet to be released by mainstream media outlets, it can be stated with certainty that with the recent price reductions attributed to the new auto policy, Pakistan's auto industry is likely to record huge sales figures and profits.
