The man was carrying a pistol and a knife when he was arrested outside of Parliament House in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: A suspect was caught on the premises of the Parliament building Monday with a gun and a knife, according to sources.

The man may be seen in a few films, now widespread across social media, with a pistol and a knife at one side.

Nearby police officers are attempting to talk down the suspect.

He was detained and transferred to a local police station shortly thereafter.

According to authorities, the individual is a 45-year-old citizen of Rawalpindi who lives in Chakri, the Chakri area.

Taking note of the event, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani directed IG Islamabad to draught a report on it.

According to police sources, both the knife and firearm took from the suspect were rusted.

According to the sources, the pistol did not have any bullets in it.
