It is an unusual event, but it happened only in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when a female student aced her matric test without losing a single mark out of 1100.

On Tuesday, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan released the results of the grade 10 and 12 exams, with a female student from a private school taking first place and receiving 1100 marks out of 1100.

The BISE Mardan held a ceremony to recognise the position-holder students. They were presented with certificates of appreciation as well as monetary incentives. Qandeel, a female student who graduated from BISE Mardan, is an orphan. Her mother is a teacher at a government school.

Sharjeel Ahmad, Farhan Naseem, and Mohammad Bilal Haider were among the other students who received prizes. The three tied for second place with 1098 points out of 1100.

Meanwhile, the BISE Bannu has released the matriculation and intermediate examination results. Muzdalfa Bibi and Ali Mohammad Khan won the intermediate examinations with 1094 points out of 1100, while Fatima Jamshed came in second with 1092 points.

The recent SSC and HSSC results in KP have been nothing short of a shocker. However, it is worth noting that such a high proportion of achievement (almost 99 percent) calls into doubt the educational boards' assessment criteria.
