Pakistan SHC Blacklists TikTok Again

On Monday, the High Court of Sindh (SHC) ordered that the TikTok video-sharing app be banned nationwide. 

The decision came almost three months after the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority lifted its restriction on the app
(PTA). 

The development was made when a petition was heard seeking to prohibit the Chinese software. 

The Court sent an announcement to the Pakistan Attorney General (AGP) to enforce the orders. 

''Defendant No. 2 is to suspend the operation and/or access to the TikTok application in Pakistan''. 

At the hearing, the petitioner's lawyer
referred to the High Court ruling in Peshawar in October 2020 concerning the TikTok ban. 

He said that the Court ordered the platform to be banned because the films on the platform were "immoral and against
Islamic beliefs." 

The lawyer also noted that the PTA had been brought before the Court by its client, but the PTA had not taken action on its
allegations

The Punjab government has suspended the MS and a senior doctor at Lahore's Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital in response to the hospital's negligence involving former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's fraudulent vaccine admission.

The TikTok ban will remain in effect until objectionable content is removed: PTA

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has informed the Peshawar High Court (PHC) that the ban on TikTok would remain in place until the renowned short-video sharing platform implements an efficient system for monitoring and removing undesirable material in Pakistan.

On Wednesday, the briefing took place during a hearing of a case jointly filed by Peshawar residents seeking a total ban on TikTok owing to the platform's breach of Islamic provisions of Pakistan's 1973 Constitution. The PTA clarified in a detailed report submitted to a PHC bench comprised of Chief Justice (CJ) PHC Qaiser Rashid Khan and Justice Ijaz Anwar that it had advised TikTok to remove illegal content and enact a proactive mechanism for content moderation in Pakistan under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and Removal and Blocking of Unlawful Online Content Rules 2020.

Mardan student got 1100 out of 1100 Marks.

It is an unusual event, but it happened only in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when a female student aced her matric test without losing a single mark out of 1100.

On Tuesday, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan released the results of the grade 10 and 12 exams, with a female student from a private school taking first place and receiving 1100 marks out of 1100.

The BISE Mardan held a ceremony to recognise the position-holder students. They were presented with certificates of appreciation as well as monetary incentives. Qandeel, a female student who graduated from BISE Mardan, is an orphan. Her mother is a teacher at a government school.

China intends to construct a gigantic spacecraft that will be nearly a mile in length.

The Chinese programme is designed to research the process of building a massive spaceship. China is examining the possibility of creating colossal spacecraft, which can measure up to 1 kilometre in length. Even if possible, how practical is the notion of a vessel of that size, and what use would it serve?

An open call for research studies has been issued by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, administered by the country's Ministry of Science and Technology. 
The initiative is a component of the more significant request. 

A foundation-hosted research outline mentions spaceships of the future, describing them as "important strategic aeronautical equipment for the investigation of space resources, long-term life in orbit, and the secrets of the universe."

The foundation aims to investigate novel and compact, lightweight approaches that can restrict the quantity of construction material to the orbit and new strategies for ensuring that such large constructions are safely assembled in space. Assuming the project receives the necessary funding, the feasibility study will continue for five years and spend $2.3 million.

Mason Peck, a former NASA chief technologist, claims that the notion doesn't appear crazy when looking at the project objectively. 

It's more of a difficulty when it comes to engineering rather than basic science.

Construction of this magnitude will likely encounter issues specific to it. Peck emphasized that whenever a spacecraft is manoeuvred or docked, the action transmits energy to the spacecraft's structure, causing it to shake and flex. 

With such a large structure, these vibrations take a long time to settle. Therefore the spaceship will probably need shock absorbers or an active power filter to counter these vibrations.

Engineers will have to make sensible trade-offs when determining the spacecraft's orbital altitude, according to Peck. Since there is more drag at lower altitudes, low-altitude vehicles must spend a great deal of time continuously adjusting their orbits.

Peck explained that this problem already affects the ISS, but it would be a massive issue for a structure with more drag, a larger size, and a requirement for more fuel to manoeuvre it back into place.

The other issue is that an increased altitude means more costly propulsion, and radiation levels shoot up fast as you move away from Earth's atmosphere, which will be an issue if the spacecraft is carrying people.

Professor Michael Lembeck, a space flight engineer who has participated in government and private programmes, said the engineering is doable, but it wouldn't be realistic in any real-world setting.

In an interview with, he explained, "It's like us discussing the construction of the Starship Enterprise."
