Activision unveiled a teaser trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty game on Monday, Call of Duty: Vanguard. While the video doesn't offer much — it's comprised mainly of footage of four separate locations, each of which features a mysterious face — it appears like the game will take set during World War II, most likely on one of the war's four frontlines.
Few details are available at this time, but further information regarding Call of Duty: Vanguard, the series' take on a free-to-play battle royale shooter, will be unveiled during an event inside Call of Duty: Warzone, the game's unique approach on a free-to-play battle royale shooter, on August 19.
Sledgehammer Games will develop Call of Duty: Vanguard, having already served as the team behind the previous Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII. It arrived in the aftermath of the state of California suing Activision Blizzard, accusing the company of establishing a workplace culture that tolerates sexual harassment.
