The "Pakistan Cricket Board" (PCB) has announced that the Australian Cricket Team will travel to Pakistan for three Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and one Twenty20 International (T20I). The trip will take place in March and April in the year 2022.

The three-match Test series will be included in the World Test Championship, while the three-match One-Day International series will be included in the International Cricket Council's ODI World Cup Super League. Both teams will be focused on obtaining the largest number of points possible for their respective championships. PCB announced the tour through their official social media accounts on several separate sites.

Australia will play a series in Pakistan after more than two decades. Australia last visited Pakistan in 1998-99, when they competed in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) and three-match Test series.
