The Punjab government has asked the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to use private businesses to protect women and families in the gardens. Asif Mehmood, an adviser to the Punjab CM on tourism, stated that private security guards would be armed with wireless sets, firearms, and motorcycles and provided with lodging and security at PHA facilities.

He ordered that the parks be outfitted with cameras and that existing cameras be repaired within one month.

He said there is a proposal in the works to revamp a day in a week solely for women and families and create a new area solely for women in parks with numerous visitors.

As a result of these incidents that occurred on the 14 of August, security has been strengthened in public parks.
