According to numerous media reports, Wasim Khan, the Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has resigned immediately from his position. Wasim handed up his resignation to PCB chairman Ramiz Raja at a meeting yesterday, according to sources. The PCB Board of Governors will meet today to discuss the issue.
Wasim Khan signed a three-year deal with the PCB in 2019 that was scheduled to end in 2022. However, Wasim was said to be dissatisfied with the situation since his powers had been reduced under the new administration. The newly elected PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja, has already indicated that the PCB will be completely overhauled, but he has declined to give any more information on the issue.
Pakistan's head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, and bowling coach, Waqar Younis, were the first to quit after Ramiz's appointment as PCB chairman, and Wasim Khan has now joined them.
