In response to threats, the federal government has sent warnings to the province governments and concerned authorities about a possible cyberattack in Pakistan.
A research claims that a supply chain attack might harm the country's systems. In light of this warning, the federal government has stated that hackers may be able to extract data from government servers.
It has also been possible for hackers to get sensitive data by infiltrating supply chains in numerous western countries. In Pakistan, anti-virus software has been unable to recognise spam files, thus the government has issued a directive to all government agencies to avoid opening or working with any files that are unrelated or seem suspect.
Many of these comments concern letters about Punjab Bank, Punjab Revenue Authority, and Finance department heads, Regional Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners, the Chief Commissioner of Revenue, as well as senior members of the Board of Revenue.
The message advised to “Do not open emails sent from unverified senders and to make sure government computers are secure.
