Google Pixel phones have long been notorious for having troubles, to the point that it has become a running joke in the industry. It's just a matter of time until you hear about hardware and software issues, and the Google Pixel 6 series is no exception.

We've begun to get reports of screen tinting, flickering, and punch-hole issues, but the most recent report is more concerning.

Google Pixel 6 customers are claiming that their phone is phoning random persons in their contacts, which is a growing scenario. More information may be found in this Reddit discussion.

According to the majority of these users, the Google Assistant is the source of these odd calls. The Assistant incorrectly assumes that a user has requested to "call someone," causing complete fear. Some customers said that it occurred during a discussion in a language that Google Assistant could not understand.

Still, the majority reported that it occurred in a tranquil setting, even when they were asleep.

All of these events happened without anybody using the "Hey Google" key phrase, indicating that there is undoubtedly an issue. In fact, the problem existed even for individuals who had deactivated the microphone.

The 9to5Google report explains why this problem happens. We may, however, be assured that Google is already aware of the problem and is "working on an expedient resolution."
