Spotify is testing Spotify Plus, a new, lower-cost membership option that includes commercials and will include unlimited skips. The firm is currently attempting to determine its best pricing, however, few people have been allowed to test it, but at varying prices.

Spotify Plus was offered to some customers for $1 per month, which is a tenth of the price of Spotify Premium. Spotify Plus is simply Spotify's free version, but with some limitations removed.

Free users, for example, may only listen to playlists on shuffle and skip 6 tracks each hour. You may pick from various playlists and make your own, but you'll always have restricted skips and shuffle mode enabled.

On the other hand, Spotify Plus still has contained ads, but you may listen to any song you want and skip songs as many times as you like.

The Spotify team acknowledged to The Verge that they are developing a new ad-supported subscription module but did not provide further information.

Remember that Spotify Plus is still in beta version and may not be available to the general public very soon.
