The Huawei Nova 8 series was introduced in December of last year, but the Nova 9 series seems to be coming out a bit sooner. According to a fresh report originating in China, the Nova 9 series will be unveiled next month, about 9 months after its predecessor.
The Huawei Nova 9 series, according to the report, will feature a better overall design and richer colours than the Honor 50 range. Its chipset, however, may not be as excellent as the Honor 50 series. This is because the Honor 50 has a Snapdragon 778G processor, while the Nova 8 series has a Kirin 985 processor.
It is unknown which chipset will be used in the Nova 9 series, but it will undoubtedly support 5G. However, it is unlikely to rival Honor's newest smartphones in terms of performance.
In terms of design, a prior rumour said that the Nova 9 range would be similar to the Huawei P50 series, featuring massive cameras on the back. It may also retain certain aspects from the Nova 8 lineup.
The flagship Huawei Mate 50 series, on the other hand, is unlikely to be released owing to all of the US restrictions. Since Joe Biden entered office as US president, the situation was anticipated to improve, but there have been no developments.
