The Realme 8 series is going to be upgraded 5 months after its first release. We already have the Realme 8, the 8 5G, and the 8 Pro. However, the Realme 8i with minor improvements over the basic model is soon to be released.

The phone has just surfaced in a fresh leak from digit.in, which includes official-looking renders as well as crucial specs.

The Realme 8i is similar to the Realme 8, except it lacks the two-tone design on the back and the big "Dare To Leap" logo. In addition, the fingerprint sensor has been relocated to the side of the power button.

The phone's essential specs are also shared in the Digit.in report. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display on the Realme 8i will allegedly have FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, up from 60Hz on the basic model. A 16MP camera will be housed in the punch-hole on the upper left.

The primary camera has been replaced with a 50MP sensor, while the 8MP ultrawide sensor has been deleted. For depth sensing and macro photos, you'll receive a pair of 2MP cameras instead.

The Helio G96 chipset will replace the Helio G95 SoC unveiled earlier this month. This phone will include 4GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. Fast charging isn't mentioned, but it'll probably be the same 30W as the basic model.
