The Samsung Galaxy S20 range is notorious for dismal sales, and it looks that the S21 series may follow suit. Despite the fact that the Galaxy S21 is less expensive and has superior specs, the flagship phone has sold even fewer than its predecessors.

According to Kiwoom Securities, Samsung sold 13.5 million copies of the Galaxy S21 in the first six months of its availability. This statistic is 20% lower than the Galaxy S20 and a whopping 47% lower than the Galaxy S10 series.

This makes the Galaxy S21 the S series' worst-performing phone in its first six months of availability. According to the study, the Galaxy S lineup's sales have been steadily declining over the years.

People appear to be losing interest in its renowned Galaxy S lineup and shifting their focus to the Galaxy A series, which is getting better and better.

This isn't the only bad news for Samsung; in June, Xiaomi overtook Samsung as the second-largest smartphone manufacturer and is rapidly catching up. In fact, in the second quarter of 2021, it was the best-selling phone brand in Europe.

In the following months, Samsung is anticipated to unveil its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Z Fold 3. The Galaxy S21 FE was expected to arrive alongside the foldable, but new rumors indicate that it has been postponed.

In addition, Samsung is collaborating with AMD to develop its Exynos chipsets. These AMD-powered processors are expected to be far more powerful than Qualcomm and Apple's competing chips.
