The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is still a few months away from release, but leaks are already circulating. We've previously seen the entire roster in leaked 3D models, but their names are mixed up.
The industry had assumed that the S22 series would include the standard S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra models. However, a new report indicates otherwise. According to a fresh rumour from the dependable OnLeaks, the S22 Ultra will be renamed the Note 22 Ultra instead.

Considering that the S22 Ultra's early renderings resemble a Galaxy Note smartphone with a S Pen slot, this makes sense.
Furthermore, the S22+ may be renamed the S22 Pro. According to the source, Samsung is contemplating a name change following some internal talks, but nothing has been decided.
According to the source, this is a relatively recent phenomenon, implying that Samsung did not purposefully cause the misunderstanding.
This may be further proof that Samsung is finally getting rid of the Note series. However, since these are only early leaks and renderings, there is no confirmation on any of this information yet.
