Twitter has been working on Super Follows since the beginning of the year, and the feature is now live. Super Follows, like Patreon, allows you to charge your followers a monthly membership for unique content. The function is part of Twitter's strategy to diversify its income streams.

Super Follows will be granted to accounts with over 10,000 followers and at least 25 tweets in the previous month. You'll also need to fill out an application and get on a waiting list. Twitter began accepting applications for Super Follows in June, so some artists have already been accepted. Eligible accounts will have three subscription choices for their subscribers: $2.99, $4.99, and $9.99 per month.

Accounts with Super Followers may additionally designate tweets exclusively for subscribers while continuing to utilise their normal tweets for unpaid users.

Paid subscribers will get an unique Super Follower badge, subscriber-only emails, exclusive material, offers and discounts, community access, and other benefits.

The Super Follower badge will also show in responses, allowing them to engage directly with the artists they want to support.

For the time being, it is only accessible for iOS users in the United States and Canada, but it will be pushed out to additional countries and platforms in the following weeks.
