The phone's body is ceramic, and a thin metal frame separates the display from the body, and radio signal also passes through from the same thin metal frame.
The phone's top part includes the vast camera system, the SoC, the RAM, the logic boards, the sensors, and the 5G antennae. The wireless charging coil, dual-cell battery, and NFC antenna are all housed in the middle section. Moreover, the USB C connection, vibration motor, and speakers are located on the bottom.

When the display is held up to bright light, the under-screen camera hole may be seen. There are two apparent holes in this image. The selfie camera is visible via a circular hole at the top because of a unique arrangement of pixels that allows light to flow through. The second square-shaped hole enables less light to get through since it is designed for proximity and ambient light sensors, which need less light.
Because the phone is coated with multiple heat dissipation sheets and the SoC is covered with thermal paste, Mi Mix 4 manages thermals very well. Even after an hour of gaming, the phone can keep the average body temperature below 40 degrees Celsius.
