ZTE Axon 20 was introduced back in 2020 as the first market-built handset featuring a selfie (UD) display camera globally.

The firm has now officially announced that its replacement, the Axon 30 Pro 5G, will soon be available with a second-generation UD camera. When seen in certain lighting circumstances, the earlier version of the under-display camera was slightly visible, while the next-generation version promises to be entirely invisible.

While the firm hasn't precisely spilled the beans, a few sources point to ZTE President Ni Fei's comments, which hinted at a new smartphone arriving this month, ideally on July 22nd.

Aside from the much-anticipated UD camera arrangement, the remainder of the feature sheet is still unknown, as ZTE is preparing a wild presentation of their newest smartphone in the 5G range. Surprisingly, the Axon 30 5G may have features identical to its 30 Pro and Ultra siblings since each includes an under-display camera.

In any event, a few unauthorized sources are sure that the Axon 30 5G will include at least one 64MP sensor and a large battery with fast-charging functionality.

Under terms of performance, either the 870 Snapdragon or 780G may be used to build flagship phones that cost less than a high-end Samsung phone.

On the 22nd of July, many questions will be answered, rumour or no rumour.
