Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batsman, has reached a historic milestone by completing 100 T20 catches. Rizwan accomplished the feat during Pakistan's ten-wicket win against India in the T20 World Cup in 2021.
Rizwan had two receptions throughout the game. Suryakumar Yadav, the middle-order hitter, was caught off Hasan Ali's bowling for his 99th catch.
His 100th catch was a sensational one of Indian skipper Virat Kohli off Shaheen Shah Afridi's bowling.
Rizwan became the 14th wicketkeeper in history to record 100 T20 catches. In just 156 T20 matches, he reached the milestone. Rizwan has 36 stumpings to go along with his 100 catches.
Rizwan has been dismissed 136 batsmen in 152 T20 matches. In T2o cricket, just 12 wicketkeepers have more dismissals than Rizwan, and all of them have played more matches than him.
The following are the wicketkeepers with the highest dismissals/innings ratio:
With almost 100 dismissals, the 29-year-old has the third-best dismissal/innings ratio among wicketkeepers. Only former Pakistani wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and Sri Lankan superstar Kumar Sangakkara have a higher dismissal/innings ratio than Rizwan.
