Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistan pacer, resigned from his post as a commentator on PTV Sports' Game on Hai following a verbal confrontation with the show's presenter, Dr. Nauman Niaz. During the post-match discussion, panelists such as former West Indian legend Sir Vivian Richards, English legend David Gower, and former Pakistani players Azhar Mahmood, Aaqib Javed, Sana Mir, and Rashid Latif, as well as Shoaib and Dr. Nauman, discussed Pakistan's magnificent victory over New Zealand in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The incident happened while Shoaib was discussing the match and made a few jabs at Dr. Nauman in the process.

Dr. Nauman was not amused with Shoaib Akhtar's arrogant tone and requested him to leave the program. "You’re being a little rude and I don’t want to say this, but if you’re being over smart, you can go. I am saying this on air," "I'm stating it on the radio," Dr. Nauman said.

The exclusive footage of the incident is available below:

The presentation was subsequently resumed, but Dr. Nauman refused to apologize for his conduct, despite Shoaib's best attempts to calm the atmosphere and heal the damage.

Shoaib finally left the program and resigned from his post, believing that Dr. Nauman owed him a public apology.

Shoaib afterwards posted a video on Twitter explaining what happened during the commercial break. He said he spoke with Nauman about settling the situation and urged Nauman to apologize on air, but Nauman refused.
