Microsoft is set to release new Surface tablets in the coming weeks, and a fresh leak on one of them has arrived just in time. The information comes from the German tech site WinFuture.de and pertains to the forthcoming Surface Go 3.
The Surface Go 3 is expected to feature a 10.5-inch FHD+ display and the same design as its predecessor, including the magnesium alloy shell and optional keyboard cover.
The most significant improvements will be seen on the inside, where the processor has been upgraded to Intel's tenth generation Amber Lake Y CPUs.
Last month's Geekbench listing for the Surface Go 3 revealed that the basic model would be powered by a Pentium Gold 6500Y processor and 4GB of RAM.
The more costly model will have Intel's Core i3-10100Y SoC, which has a base speed of 1.3 GHz and a boost frequency of 3.9 GHz, depending on the job at hand.
This variant will come with 8GB of RAM. We may also anticipate to see various SSD storage choices, as we have in the past, but there are no specifics at this time.
Aside from the Surface Go 3, Microsoft will likely release a new Surface laptop and the Surface Duo 2 folding smartphone. The Surface Pro 8 may also make an appearance at this event.
