Now that Samsung's last Galaxy Unpacked event of the year has over, we can shift our focus to the next wave of Galaxy flagships. Ice Universe, a tipster, has provided fresh information on the Galaxy S22 range, including crucial specs for the whole series.
According to his source, the design of the Samsung Galaxy S22 would be somewhat different from that of the S21. The lineup's three phones will all feature 120Hz AMOLED screens, but only the Ultra model will have 2K resolution, while the others will only have 1080p. The S22 Ultra will also be the only one with an LTPO screen, which enables variable refresh rates and therefore increases battery life. The displays on the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra will be 6.06′′, 6.55′′, and 6.81′′, respectively.
The S22 and S22+ will feature identical camera configurations, including a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultrawide unit, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. Instead, the S22 Ultra will feature a quad-camera system that includes a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP periscope device with 10x magnification.
The S22 and S22+ will have a smaller battery (3,800 mAh and 4,000 mAh, respectively), while the S22 Ultra will retain the 5,000 mAh power cell. There is no mention of rapid charging. Furthermore, an earlier rumour from Tron claims that Samsung will use the Snapdragon 898 for the majority of models due to the lack of Exynos 2200 SoC.
