Qualcomm's next-generation flagship smartphone CPU, the Snapdragon 898, is scheduled to be released before the end of this month. This is because Qualcomm has officially announced its Tech Summit event without divulging what would take place.
The Tech Summit will begin on November 30 and will end on December 2, 2021. This is complemented by a giant banner depicting a speed boat tracing the infinity symbol in the water, with the words "More to come, soon!" towards the bottom. There is no further information, clues, or teases here.
However, considering Qualcomm's track record, we should expect to see the Snapdragon 898, the newest and best flagship CPU for Android phones (unconfirmed name). Keynotes are often held on the first day of a conference. Thus we can reasonably anticipate that the SD898 will be released on November 30. Rumors regarding this chip have been circulating for quite some time, and the Xiaomi 12 is expected to be the first phone to contain it towards the end of December.
We already know the SD898's likely specifications, thanks to previous reports. It will most likely feature a prime ARM Cortex X2 CPU core operating at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 performance cores running at 2.5 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores running at 1.79 GHz. The chip will be manufactured utilizing Samsung's 4nm technology. Its GPU is likely to be the Adreno 730, which is intended to boost performance by 20% over the previous iteration. The X65 5G modem might potentially make an appearance.
