Xiaomi began its worldwide launch event yesterday, announcing "T" variants for the Mi 11 series. The new Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro are less expensive than the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, with the primary selling point being a very rapid charging speed (120W) in addition to flagship features.

Display and Design Overview

When it comes to design and display, the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro are identical. Both have a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This is a reduction from the original Mi 11's 6.81" 1440p+ curved display.

However, the 480Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+ capabilities are still there, as is the max brightness of 1000 nits (down from 1500 nits).

The fingerprint sensors have been relocated to the power button, from where they were originally located beneath the display in the original versions. The primary camera's design has also been updated.

Storage and Internals Overview

The chipset is the primary distinction between the 11T and 11T Pro. The Snapdragon 888 has been used in the 11T Pro, while the Dimensity 1200 Ultra, a proprietary 6nm processor, has been used in the 11T.

Both come with 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Both phones will run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 and will get three years of Android OS upgrades as well as four years of security patches.

Cameras Overview

Although it lacks OIS, the Mi 11's 50MP primary camera has been upgraded to a 108MP sensor (2.1 m pixels with 9-in-1 binning) in the 11T and 11T Pro. The 5x periscope camera was deleted, while the ultrawide shooter was reduced to 8MP. A 5MP tele-macro camera serves as the third sensor.

Xiaomi did not mention selfie cameras, but they will most likely be the same 16MP sensors has seen in the Mi 11.

Pricing and Battery Overview

The battery capacity of both phones has been increased to 5,000 mAh, with support for a staggering 120W fast charging. As a result, a full charge should take no more than 17 minutes, and a 70% charge should take no more than 10 minutes.

Furthermore, Xiaomi claims that even after two years of charge, the batteries would maintain 80% of their capacity.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro will be available in three colors: black, blue, and white, with a starting price of €650, and 11T will cost you €500.
