Xiaomi's first foldable smartphone, the Mi Mix Fold, was released in China in April of this year but remained exclusive to the nation. Since then, there has been no news on a worldwide release, but a recent leak suggests that the firm is working on a new version.

Panda is Bald (machine translated moniker) on Weibo suggests that a new Mi Mix Fold version is on the way. This will not be a Mix Fold 2, but rather the same gadget as the original with a few modifications, similar to a Mix Fold Pro.
One of these improvements will be a faster refresh rate on both displays. The inside screen will be upgraded to 90Hz (from 60Hz) and the outside screen to 120Hz (up from 90Hz). The tipster also claims that the under-screen camera will debut, although he does not specify which display will include it. We can only presume it will be beneath the internal display since the original Mix Fold lacks a selfie camera entirely.
Furthermore, Xiaomi may provide quicker charging. On top of a 5,000 mAh battery, the 67W charging may be upgraded to a staggering 120W. This is just around 20 mAh less than the original. While these improvements are minor, they should assist Xiaomi in competing with other high-end folding phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
